
With the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as the backdrop, the visual identity for Modern Pentathlon's social media presence was rooted in Japanese heritage. Drawing on iconic elements of Japanese aesthetics, from the rising sun to delicate cherry blossoms. The design language was woven consistently across every touchpoint, creating a campaign that felt both globally athletic and culturally grounded in its host nation.

The identity came to life across a full suite of social media content produced throughout the Games. Athlete career trackers gave audiences a deeper look at competitors' journeys and stats in the build-up to competition, while countdown graphics built anticipation in the days leading up to events. Post-competition, winner's graphics and record holder posts celebrated peak moments, and head-to-head matchup cards fueled fan engagement by putting rivals side by side. Together, the content series maintained a cohesive visual voice across every format, from editorial storytelling to real-time results.
