Création Africa Ghana

Challenge

The French Embassy in Ghana required a comprehensive ecosystem to support creative entrepreneurs, necessitating a brand and digital presence that appeared both authoritative and culturally resonant. The primary challenge was to design a platform that could handle high-traffic grant applications while maintaining a strict visual standard that appealed to diverse industries—from fashion to video games. For the 2025/2026 edition, the task evolved into a brand refresh to reflect the program's growth, requiring a more modern, scalable identity that could transition from a local initiative to a pan-African benchmark for creative excellence.

Brand Identity

The visual identity for the 2025/2026 refresh is a tribute to Ghanaian heritage blended with modern professional standards.I integrated a vibrant, rhythm-inspired color palette that draws directly from Ghanaian Wax Prints. A central part of this refresh involved the strategic use of Adinkra symbols, which serve as meaningful visual anchors that connect the program's mission to traditional values of creativity and wisdom. This cohesive branding system was designed to be scalable across all touchpoints, from digital interfaces to physical event collateral, ensuring a consistent and culturally resonant brand voice.

Website

The digital architecture was engineered to serve as a high-performance bridge between the program’s resources and Ghana’s creative community. Built using Webflow CMS, the site provides a robust, scalable infrastructure that allows for seamless content management and real-time updates for grant application cycles. I translated the brand refresh into a clean, intuitive UI that prioritizes accessibility while balancing structured layouts with bold wax-print motifs and Adinkra iconography. Every interaction, from the interactive program timeline to the responsive application forms, was optimized within the Webflow environment to ensure the digital experience felt as impactful as the funding it facilitates.

Outcome

The success of the first edition validated this human-centric design approach, as the program ultimately distributed over €100,000 in grants to empower local businesses. Seeing these funds enable entrepreneurs to scale their ventures has been the most rewarding metric of this project’s impact. This experience taught me that branding is most effective when it acts as a catalyst for economic growth, dismantling barriers between creative artistry and sustainable entrepreneurship. As we move into the 2025/2026 cycle, I am focused on leveraging design for scalability to ensure the platform continues to foster a genuine sense of security and opportunity for Ghana’s talent.
